We are a mobile, field-based school for transformative organizing.

What we seek to accomplish:

• Deepening transformative organizing at the levels of individuals, organizations, coalitions, movement constellations. 

• Carrying forward and reconnecting the traditions of revolutionary practice that were passed on to us - and that are in danger of being lost/broken.  

We develop lifelong, transformative organizers within and through the movement-building formations we are part of.

Why the name, “Organizing Roots”?

• We are rooted in the deep traditions of our ancestors, of our peoples’ movements & struggles.

• Organizing has political roots – it’s more than a set of hard skills or practices.

• When we are organizing, we are extending and connecting our roots, our connections and networks.  We are building movement.

• As we work in our team and with our partners, we get below the surface.  We function as cadre & organizers, not consultants.
